These are suggested alternatives from Youtube.com for my username because “bigboxcar” was taken. I know! BIGBOXCARIFY!!! Eh, pass.

Back when I set up my youtube channel (bigboxcarkpc), the username “bigboxcar” had already been registered and was being used. But today, I noticed the user had closed the account! So I went to register it.

But you can’t register a name of a “closed” account on YouTube. How dumb is that?

According to a LEVEL 18 YouTube.com Commenter:

YouTube does not release usernames, ever. They are a permanent part of the channel records, regardless of the channel status.

Okay. Apparently I can try to contact the owner who can “give” me the username. But that seems impossible if the account is closed. Whatevs then.
