Five weeks after Election Day, 50 miles from the corner office of the State Capitol he sought to take over and 9,000 votes behind Mark Dayton, Republican Tom Emmer conceded the governor’s election this morning at his Delano home.
Later this morning, the State Canvassing Board is expected to certify DFLer Dayton’s victory, clearing the way for him to begin transition work.
More coverage later on Emmer, Dayton and the Canvassing Board.
Done. Ahead of schedule, no less. Cool photo by Jay.
