Good post. I agree with what you say about communicating with others instantly, and when it’s not working it feels awkward. But also, for me,my Tumblr has been a scrapbook of ideas – many posts are reblogs, but most are bits and pieces of my own creativity. I had not realized how often I think to post something, until I couldn’t. I agree with other commenters: It’s free, yo – something more reliable costs money, but it won’t be Tumblr, so just wait until it gets fixed and mellow out a little. Also, diversifying your publishing footprint is probably a good idea. I might consider that.
