‘RINGTONES FOR The Replacements AVAILABLE NOW!’

This just seems wrong. There was a little card in my newly purchased Replacements ‘STINK’ CD reissue telling me how I can get ringtones on my phone. ’STINK’ is my favorite Replacements record.

The songs are great, but the recording is what I love – it’s just raw. Love how the harmonica and vocals on ‘White and Lazy’ are all crunchy. The record always stuck in my mind as one of those great pieces of work, unpolished yet perfect. And underground. Now with ringtones?! Is nothing sacred these days?
