{"id":9956,"date":"2011-01-08T18:25:53","date_gmt":"2011-01-08T18:25:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mugshotmonday.com\/site2\/bassoforte-by-diego-stocco-few-days-ago-i\/"},"modified":"2021-07-20T23:03:18","modified_gmt":"2021-07-20T23:03:18","slug":"bassoforte-by-diego-stocco-few-days-ago-i","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mugshotmonday.com\/site2\/bassoforte-by-diego-stocco-few-days-ago-i\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bassoforte\u00a0by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.diegostocco.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diego Stocco<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Few days ago I started thinking about how I could re-purpose the keyboard of the dismantled piano I keep in the garden, so I thought to build a new instrument by combining it with some other parts I had laying around.<br \/>I ended up with this mechanical hybrid thing I thought to call &ldquo;Bassoforte&rdquo; (bass + pianoforte).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The neck is from a broken electric bass, as a bridge I used a cabinet handle, the pickups are from a guitar, and the part at the top where the strings are attached is a chimney cap, which works as resonator as well as percussive sound.<\/p>\n<p>The track I created is a tribute to my Dad who is a big fan of Western comic books and &ldquo;spaghetti western&rdquo; films, and because of him I am too.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you&rsquo;ll like it!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Love this kind of stuff. So, I think he&rsquo;ll need to make 3+ more Bassofortes when he goes on tour!
