Apple Hires The Guy Who Hacked Together A Better iOS Notifications System<\/a><\/p>\n

Very savvy move by Apple. You might think they wouldn\u2019t like this guy since he perfected notifications for users who jailbreak<\/em> their device. But they probably didn\u2019t even think twice about that. They just wanted the best guy for the job.<\/p>\n

While we\u2019ve heard<\/a> that revamped notifications will be a part of iOS 5, it seems very unlikely that any of\u00a0Hajas\u2019 work made the cut since he\u2019s only been on board a month or so.<\/p>\n

But as David Chartier reminds us<\/a>, Apple hired Rich Dellinger, the guy behind the excellent webOS notification system, way back in early 2010. Any work we see in iOS 5 is likely his.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cannot wait. Notifications are my single biggest complaint about iOS currently. I also wonder how they\u2019ll tie in with iCloud.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
