Most Popular BIGBOXCAR Photo posts in 2011<\/a><\/p>\n

I made this list using the\u00a0best of tumblr<\/a> tool. I had a few thoughts when I saw the results:<\/p>\n

First<\/strong>: All of these “popular” photos are popular because someone with a lot of followers reblogged the photo post and then their followers did a lot of liking and reblogging. That has always been so fascinating to me about Tumblr – how the distribution of my content can reach so many second or third tier audiences.<\/p>\n

Second<\/strong>: Why does Tumblr STILL not have analytics so we can see what people are doing with our posts? This best of tumblr<\/a> tool was so refreshing to find. Tumblr has “temporarily<\/a>”<\/em> turned off reblog email notifications, so there is no way to track that now. Very frustrating.<\/p>\n

Third<\/strong>: I can’t believe I took that pic of the Hennepin Avenue bridge sunrise. Lucky shot.<\/p>\n
