Oh, and that&rsquo;s an awesome illustration, too. An excerpt:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>In 1985, in a moment no consumer could figure out (and no major company should ignore), Coca-Cola decided they would ditch their cash cow and make an entirely different product.  The venerable \u201cOld Coke\u201d was gone overnight and \u201cNew Coke\u201d was the Coke to beat Pepsi. There was just one problem.  Nobody liked it.  There were practically riots in the streets.  People started hoarding \u201cold\u201d Coke when they could find it.<\/p>\n<p>If you weren\u2019t around then (and I suspect most of the Google decision-makers weren\u2019t) I know it\u2019s hard to believe that consumers actually rose up and made such a stink that a mega company completely reversed course about something, but they did.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>You should <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessesgrow.com\/2012\/01\/19\/is-new-google-like-the-new-coke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">read the whole post<\/a>. There are some nice utility nuggets in the section labeled &ldquo;<strong>FIXING WHAT\u2019S NOW BROKEN<\/strong>&rdquo;.
