I know! BIGBOXCARIFY!!! Eh, pass.<\/p>\n<p>Back when I set up my youtube channel (<a href=\"http:\/\/youtube.com\/bigboxcarkpc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bigboxcarkpc<\/a>), the username &ldquo;bigboxcar&rdquo; had already been registered and was being used. But today, I noticed the user had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/bigboxcar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">closed the account<\/a>! So I went to register it.<\/p>\n<p>But you can&rsquo;t register a name of a &ldquo;closed&rdquo; account on YouTube. How dumb is that?<\/p>\n<p>According to a LEVEL 18 YouTube.com Commenter:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.co.nz\/support\/forum\/p\/youtube\/thread?tid=42cfe9c168e231bc&amp;hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube does not release usernames, ever. Apparently I can try to contact the owner who can &ldquo;give&rdquo; me the username. But that seems impossible if the account is closed.
