That&rsquo;s not because I didn&rsquo;t like the advertising &ndash; in fact, I loved it. And it&rsquo;s not even because they didn&rsquo;t answer <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/bigboxcar\/status\/18541911369\" rel=\"noopener\">my question<\/a>. Not a big deal. They were busy, and there were <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/oldspice\/statuses\/18472997781\" rel=\"noopener\">better questions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I discovered that the core product features of Old Spice just do not appeal to me, regardless of the brand. I don&rsquo;t immerse myself in manufactured smells. And I won&rsquo;t start now.<\/p>\n<p>But the campaign did <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/bigboxcar\/status\/18709997799\" rel=\"noopener\">make me think<\/a> actor <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/isaiahmustafa\" rel=\"noopener\">Isaiah Mustafa<\/a> would be an interesting guy to follow. Also, the Old Spice copywriters were brilliant, so I&rsquo;ll search for them on twitter and follow them, too.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s interesting: I had a positive response to the Old Spice advertising, a negative response to purchasing the product, and a positive response to the individual personal brands contained within the advertising production of the campaign.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s such a complicated (and awesome!) marketing world we live in these days, huh?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The recent totally awesome Old Spice social media campaign did not convince me to buy their product.
