Namely, that it is designed to be consumed\/experienced primarily on the public-facing side.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In fact, while you can easily read this Tumblr like any other blog, and even, like most other blogs, make a comment down below, the real interaction is designed to take place among Tumblr users within the dashboard. In the case of Newsweek, posts usually averaged between 20 and 200 notes (that is, \u2018likes\u2019 and \u2018reblogs\u2019 of a particular post); some were as high as 3,000 notes.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a significant level of engagement, and one that, if anything, is actually underrated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We feel a little like the kid on the playground whose dad just stood up for  us against the neighborhood bully.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s exactly this potential for engagement that Mark refers to that  excites us most about Tumblr.\u00a0 Reading us from the front end is fine and dandy,  but you\u2019re selling your experience short.\u00a0 We <em>want<\/em> you to talk to  us, share with us, argue with us.\u00a0 Seriously, we love it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Agree with @markcoatney.<\/p>\n<p>Also, maybe time to do away with the DISQUS embeded comments on the newsweek tumblr? &ldquo;Traditional comments&rdquo; on tumblr are clunky, and don&rsquo;t get used by Tumblrnation &ndash; VERY common for posts to have &ldquo;0 Comments and 0 Reactions&rdquo;. NOTES is where the interaction lives. Although, now that I look, I don&rsquo;t see a NOTES link on posts in the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/newsweek.tumblr.com\" rel=\"noopener\">newsweek.tumblr<\/a> theme. Hm.
